The Temporary Bridging Arrangement for Flexible Workforce (TOFA) will take effect from June 22. This measure was created to accommodate flex workers who have lost a substantial portion of their income due to the corona crisis. In addition to having lost income, these employees may not have claimed unemployment benefits or any other social security benefit.
The flex worker who earned more than € 400,- in February 2020 and lost more than half of this income in April of this year is entitled to compensation of up to € 550,-. This compensation is a one time payment and serves as compensation for the loss of income suffered in the months of April, May and June.
